Analyse school performance (ASP)

Last updated on 24 August 2020

ASP is the replacement to RAISEonline

Schools should be able to log in to ASP via the DfE’s Secure Access website:

DfE: Sign in to services

ASP is also where schools can download the Ofsted document, the ‘Inspection Data Summary Report’ (IDSR). The IDSR, along with previous years’ Inspection Dashboards can be found by going into the List of Reports in ASP.

Guidance on navigating and using ASP

This document provide a simple guide to navigating the site and using the various features.

Secure Access - update to DfE sign-in

Every school should already have a Secure Access ‘Approver’, who can set up other users within the school (including Governors) and add ASP to each user’s account.
(The Secure Access Approver will probably be the same person who submits data returns to DfE, e.g. Head, School Business Manager, member of admin support team etc.)

There is a useful YouTube video that explains how the school’s Secure Access Approver sets up the access to ASP:

How to set up new user access to Analyse School Performance

If your school does not have a DfE Sign-in  Approver (e.g. previous Approver has left), you need to apply to get one set up, which you can do here:

DfE: Sign into services: contacts

The DfE have been experiencing a high volume of these requests, so there may be a delay before the request is actioned.
