Online Bookings for Standards and School Effectiveness Courses and Conferences
New Online Booking System
For the past seven years all CPD delegate bookings for Standards and School Effectiveness (SSE) and room bookings for Hertfordshire Development Centre (HDC) have been made using a bespoke system called TAS (Training Administration System). However, to make both course and room booking more efficient for our users HDC have recognised that now is the time to review and modernise our system. To this end a new system called EASe (Event Administration System) has been developed.
 The first phase of the new system, Early Years Online, went live on 1st September 2007. To date there have been over 1400 bookings made with over 300 credit card payments; all reports confirm a much more user friendly booking system!
The new system went live on Monday 7th January 2008 for all Governance, SITSS, Primary and Secondary Strategy and SSE CPD courses and conferences - for the first time providing schools with a common, user friendly interface for all SSE course, conference and room bookings.

Searching for Training Courses
You can browse the entire list of courses or alternatively refine your
selection by choosing a phase (Primary, Secondary or All), Term
(Autumn, Spring, Summer) or Subject (e.g. Assessment, ICT, Maths etc).
Any combination of these can be selected if required otherwise all courses
will be shown.
 By selecting “Details” of
a specific course you will be shown full details of the course including
content, outcomes, dates, venue and cost availability. If you then wish to book onto
this particular course you can select “Book”
Booking
The online system sends an immediate notification of acceptance onto
a course. If you have booked on to a waiting list you will be booked on to the course automatically when a place becomes available and confirmation will be sent via email.
If a school has forgotten their login details they can use the ‘Forgot your login details’ option to have this emailed to them automatically.
Non-HCC Schools
If a Non-HCC school is using this system for the 1st time they will
be asked to enter a valid email address and telephone number.
They will then be sent a PIN number to the email provided. This PIN number
can then be used to sign onto the On-line Booking for Training and Conferences.
Paper Booking System
Please either use the paper form provided in your CPD course brochure or alternatively contact the Centre Bookings team on 01438 845113 who will be able to send a form to you. Please ensure your Headteacher signs the form before faxing it to the Centre Bookings team at Hertfordshire Development Centre on 01438 845115 or posting to:
