Caretaker Training Course

Does your Caretaker have responsibility for the daily or periodic cleaning of the School? If so we have a training course designed to give them the skills and knowledge to do this effectively.

We hold a one day course designed to cover all the areas of Cleaning needed to manage the service for the School both on a day to day basis and also for the periodic maintenance to give that lift to the School and ensure longevity of your floors and surfaces.

Hertfordshire Contract Management Services will be running a Cleanwise Certified one day course at Haywood Grove School Hemel Hempstead HP2 7BG on Wednesday 26th October 2016 between 10.00am and 4.00pm (tea & coffee provided) at a cost of 100.00

The following areas will be covered during the course:

  • Chemical competence
  • Equipment safe use and care
  • Storage of equipment
  • Toilet Areas
  • Daily Floor Maintenance
  • Periodic Floor Maintenance
  • Carpet Cleaning
  • Bodily fluids and sharps

Site staff play an important role in schools ensuring that the environment is clean, safe and tidy and that meals are available at lunchtime.

Cleaning staff

Cleaning staff work either on their own or in a team, ensuring that the school premises are clean and hygienic.

Catering staff/kitchen assistants

Catering staff help prepare and serve schools meals and clear up when lunchtime is over.

Cooks/catering managers

Cooks/catering managers plan the menu for school meals according to a fixed budget and supervise the work of catering staff.

Premises managers/caretakers
Premise managers/caretakers are responsible for the maintenance of the school building, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed. They may also oversee the work of other site staff.
