Why is Central Primary School Web
Site of the Month?
- The site is well laid out and looks very professional.
- The helping your child page is excellent and has some valuable advice for parents to help their child read. It would be great to see this section develop further in the future.
- The newsletters page has a really useful archive which is broken down into a page for each term. This is a nice way of presenting the information and solves the problem of too much scrolling which visitors often report as being an annoyance on the web.
- The contents of the newsletters are published on the page alongside the documents. This is very useful as it makes it quick and easy to locate a document and serves as a useful reminder for any newsletters that you may have missed.
- The site makes very good use of PDF documents.
Further development ideas:
- The logo on the top left of all the pages could link back to the home page as this is standard practice on the web.
- Some of the titles within the content of the pages don't stand out as well as they could do e.g. the newsletters page, the headings could be larger and perhaps bold to make speed reading easier.
Overall, the Central Primary school website
