Useful Graphics Programs
An inexpensive package such as Paint Shop Pro can resize images - it's shareware, which means you can try it for 30 days and then are required to purchase it. A more expensive package such as Photoshop isn't really worth having if all you are doing is preparing images for web pages. A simple and inexpensive package (actually, it's free) is called IrfanView, which can resize images, browse directories using thumbnails, and even create the HTML needed for a gallery of thumbnail images. Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro can also do this. Note that if you have Microsoft Office 97 or 2000 you will probably have Microsoft Photo Editor which will be fine for creating thumbnails and resizing images. Details of these packages:
