SEN Mainstream FundingThis is the first edition of a resource pack for school and CSF staff to underpin the SEN Funding Scheme that was introduced in April 2007. This followed extensive discussion with schools and parent representatives before approval by the county council and Schools’ Forum. The pack draws together information from a variety of sources and is intended for use as a working document by school managers and specialist staff. The funding scheme is still at a relatively early stage of development and further sections will be added and existing sections amended over time. The document is produced in a number of discrete sections in the hope that it will be useful to a variety of audiences with differing information needs. Personalised LearningPersonalised learning is central to raising standards and is critical to ensuring a child's chances of success are not limited by their socio-economic background, gender, ethnicity or any disability. This publication was developed to support schools in implementing personalised learning and to help them move to a system based on progression, underpinned by assessment for learning, with relevant interventions such as one-to-one support.
