Professional Standards for Teachers new

The TDA released the professional standards for teachers and positions of responsibility within schools in 2008. They include details for classroom teachers (core), QTS teachers, post-threshold teachers, ASTs and ETs. The standards are useful in identify the different elements of each role, to support career planning and progression.

The ASE and the National network of science learning centres have worked on these to develop a science specific set of standards.
