Assessments – Young people’s drug and/or alcohol use should be considered as part of a wider, holistic assessment of needs. There are a range of assessment tools/processes such as Common Assessment Framework (CAF) (used for early identification by people across the children’s workforce), ASSET (used by Youth Justice), APIR (used by Youth Connexions), Pupil Support Plan (PSP) (used in schools), Initial Assessment (used by Social Care).
