Intensifying Support ProgrammeThe programme aims to raise standards and improve teaching and learning in the context of the school as a professional learning community. It is set up in partnership with the school and is based on the cycle of audit and setting targets, action and review. Four key themes run through the programme. These are:
The programme aims to draw together existing good teaching and learning practice in local authorities and schools in order to maximise impact. Material has been produced separately for all schools to use in school improvement. They provide suggestions for a sequence of Professional Development Meetings (PDMs).
