Auditing CPD Needs
The following proforma enables schools to audit the continuing professional
development needs of all staff regarding Wave 3 – achievement
for low attainers.
Advice at School Action Plus
When a school seeks advice regarding a child's special educational
needs at School Action Plus it is important to focus the discussions
with a full picture of information.
This should include the child’s individual learning profile,
strengths and weaknesses and the details of all previous action and
its effectiveness.
The following document will guide discussions between all involved
re the learning difficulties of children in relation to literacy
and/or mathematics.
Training
- Talking Partner programme training
An ongoing programme of training
will be provided. Talking Partners
is a focused programme to support the development of speaking and listening
skills for small groups of children from Reception to Year 4.
- Fischer Family Trust KS1 Wave 3 literacy intervention programme
Training
will be provided for schools on an ongoing basis. The training will
be for Year 1 teachers, teaching assistants and SENCos. The
entry level for this intervention is P6-1c in English.
(NB This should not be confused with the Fischer Family Trust Wave 2/ELS
programme and training)
