A set of six free A3 posters ‘Top Tips to Improve African Caribbean Achievement in Schools in Hertfordshire’ provide suggestions for strategies for schools to use under the headings - ‘Leadership’, ‘Ethos’, ‘Teaching and Learning’, ‘Data Reviews and Audits’, ‘Curriculum’ and ‘Parents and Community’.
The posters draw attention to the practice that has been shown to be supportive in raising the achievement of Black students, as well as supporting inclusive practice generally. They can be used eg.
- As a basis for discussion during CPD for staff and Governors’ training (Raising achievement, Diversity in the Curriculum, Inclusion, Race Equality)
- For display in the Staff Room or Faculty/Department Rooms.
