Schemes of Work for ICT
The Herts ICT Management System for the primary phase have been updated. There are versions for single and mixed age classes. Based upon an original scheme developed from the QCA scheme, by the Northern Grid (consortium of north-east LAs), the latest version has been updated in the light of the Revised Primary Framework. It also includes guidance for e-safety with links to the ICT curriculum for each year group. It is presented in the same format and is designed to be manageable and simple to use.
The planning sheets provide suggested activities to teach ICT understanding and techniques, while the integrated projects, one each term, act as an assessment opportunity, allowing the pupils to demonstrate their ICT capability. Each term's planning is followed by an assessment sheet for recording & monitoring. This feeds into a summative assessment sheet, which records attainment levels for each pupil, for completion at the end of year.
