Working in partnership to support all children and young people in Hertfordshire to achieve health and well being.

A dedicated team within Standards and School Effectiveness, the Health and Wellbeing team aims to support schools to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to all aspects of health and wellbeing.

The Health and Wellbeing team is a one stop shop for schools bringing together a diverse mix of skills and expertise in the field; from anti-bullying to PE and school sport, from drug education to dance, from healthy eating and mental health to PSHE and Citizenship education. The team also leads the Hertfordshire
Healthy Schools Programme.

The team seeks to build confidence and capacity in the school workforce and governing body, ensuring value for money and sustainability through:

  • Consultancy visits
  • Courses
  • Conferences
  • Training (whole day, half day and staff meetings)
  • Pre and post Ofsted support
  • School self evaluation
  • Department reviews
  • One to one surgery sessions
  • Network meetings
  • Pupil and parent workshops / group programmes
  • Conducting and analysing research
  • Report writing
  • National / local accredited programmes for healthy schools, anti-bullying and PSHE

The Health and Wellbeing team are flexible, creative and innovative in responding to the priorities and needs of schools. The team works with all members of the school community including governing bodies, support staff, pupils and parents.

With extensive experience of working with all phases and settings, together with a proven track record built on established relationships with schools, the team are able to meet your development and support needs in all areas of health and wellbeing.
