Hertfordshire School Food Group

In light of the increased profile of healthy eating and the wider childhood obesity agenda a county wide school food group has been established.  The DfES Standard Fund guidance also encourages local authorities to ‘establish a lead team to drive forward the transformation of school meals.’

The key terms of reference for the group will be to identify, celebrate and disseminate effective practice, ensure county wide consistency in the dissemination of local and national guidance; share data linked to healthy eating and contribute to the wider agenda of childhood obesity.
