Family CampingEnjoy the peaceful surroundings, amble through the woodland, explore the habitats and the adjoining Great Wood. Alternatively, take part in a variety of activities laid on for children and families. Activities include: mountain biking, archery, pond dipping and the up and under woodland scramble. All activities are lead by experienced staff from the Centre.
Activities will be running on the following dates:
Accommodation at CuffleyCuffley Camp Outdoor Centre has 12 camping areas known as ‘villages’. Some villages contain tents or alternatively, there is cabin accommodation; each containing three sets of bunk beds and no other furnishings. Each village also contains a large covered seating area, a shelter for firewood cooking, camp fire area and picnic tables. Generally, one family books one tent or one cabin depending on the numbers. The Centre also has hot showers, toilets, limited fridge space and a First Aider on duty at all times. Types of tentsYou will be unable to choose the type of tent as it will be allocated by the Centre depending on availability.
How much does it cost?The charge is £13.15 per adult and £7.60 per child per night. Children under 2 years are free and those aged 18 and over pay the adult rate. Family groups will be allocated tents or cabins on a first come first served basis. Exclusive use of the campsite (doesn’t include Birchester cabins) costs £330 per night FoodThere are many restaurants and takeaways locally or alternatively you may wish to cook for yourselves on an open fire or bring a barbeque. The Centre also has barbeques for hire. What do we need to bring?Sleeping Bag, Warm Clothes, Waterproof Coat, Newspaper for fire lighting, Wash Kit, Torch, Cutlery, Blanket, Towels, Pyjamas, Food, Wellies, Mugs and Plates, Matches How do we book?Please telephone the office on 01707 872955 to book and pay your deposit for your family. Please be aware that activities are only running at the weekends (Fri-Sun) not during the week. Please state your preference for pre-pitched tents or woodland cabins. If you want exclusive use of a campsite please telephone the Centre on 01707 872955 to check availability (excluding Birchester (cabin) village) A £10 non-returnable deposit per night per tent/cabin should be paid over the telephone to secure your place. The balance of camping fees will be due 6 weeks before your arrival. An email will be sent with your outstanding balance. Please telephone the office to pay by card. Booking ActivitiesActivities need to be booked and paid for over the telephone. These are allocated on a first come first served basis and cost £3 per session.
