Description of Activity
- Sorting plants into broad groups
- Identifying plants

Learning Outcomes
Children will:
- Know basic groupings of plants within a given habitat
- Be able to recognise and name several plants
- Be able to name and show the main parts of a plant and their functions
- Understand that plants need certain conditions for growth
- Be aware of the link between the season and the stage of a plant's
life cycle
- Have an awareness of the life and decay cycle
- Be able to recognise and name leaf shapes
- Be able to take rubbings or print effectively
