Job Opportunities - Responsibility Posts

New vacancies will shortly be announced for the following posts

• Music Leader and Deputy Head North Herts. Based in Hitchin but linked with Stevenage
• Assistant Leader of Mid Herts with responsibility for East Hertsmere, based in Hatfield.

These posts although part time, can be brought to full time positions for the appropriate candidate with additional teaching responsibilities.

Full adverts will appear on this website, the FMS website and in TES in the week beginning  5th January 2009.

Wider Opportunities Information

There will be a Wider Opportunities INSET meeting on January 6th 2009 at Mid Herts Music and Arts Centre 9.15- 12.15. The topic will be 'Where does it all lead to? - Continuation, Diversification & Celebration'. For more information please see the main Newsletter below in INSET information.

A number of Wider Opps teachers met on Friday 16th May and did some training on Singing Strategy and group teaching. Notes are available below, with thanks to Gill Rice:

Child Protection

Child protection training will be given on the following dates:

13th May 2009 at Watford School of Music - 16.00-18.00

16th July 2009 at Mid Herts Music and Arts Centre - 16.00-18.00

Pupil Survey Forms

Please find below two copies of data collection spreadsheets for use. The first is a blank copy to print off and fill in by hand. The second is an auto calculating electronic version which can be filled in and e-mailed directly to meirion.williams@hertscc.gov.uk when completed. If you wish to have your existing pupils included on your electronic list, please e-mail Meirion and apopulated version will be sent to your e-mail address. Amendments can then be made to existing pupil records, as well as new records being added.
