Back to Hertford Contacts

Hertford Saturday Morning Music School groups meets every Saturday during term-time and play in a concert at the end of each term. We have a large library of new and classical music written and arranged specifically for young players.  Our intention is that the music children play in our groups should both complement and reinforce the work they do in lesson time with their teacher and in their practice time at home.

Theory

Skills in rhythm, pitch, listening and creative work are encouraged whilst working towards the recognised Grade 5 Theory examination.  This class is regarded as an important ‘back up’ to the instrumental and choral activity within the Centre.
