Master Classes 2007As part of the County strategy for gifted and talented students, the LA wants to work with schools to establish Masterclasses which will provide greater challenge for gifted and talented students and develop resources and teaching strategies which can be disseminated to other schools around the county. The LA wants to establish a partnership with county schools in providing Masterclasses. As part of the LA contribution to this partnership, £1500 will be made available to fund each 20 hours of Masterclasses. Schools that are interested in running Masterclasses will have the opportunity to propose their own programme of enrichment and extension activities, a programme which should be demonstrably challenging and involving pupils from a wide range of other schools. Schools will be at liberty to determine the allocation of their budget and the timings of the classes. In order to apply to run a Masterclass, schools should complete and return the application form indicating on there what will be the school’s own contribution (resources, materials, funding etc) to the Masterclass partnership.
