Secondary Geography Network Meeting

Karen Roskilly, Head of geography at Sandringham School (The Ridgeway, St Albans, AL4 9NX. 01727 759240) has kindly offered to host the next Geography Network meeting.

This has been arranged for Thursday 21 October at 4.30pm. We will provide tea/coffee and biscuits.

Unfortunately there is no further funding for these meetings to be run at WDC.

The objective of these meetings is for Geography teachers to meet on a termly basis and share good practice and what they are doing in their department; support new HOG and to learn from one another’s experiences.

I propose that we start with looking at;-

‘How we are tackling' raising achievement at GCSE and AS/A2 especially of the boys.

Please bring with you anything else that you would like to share.

Have you any other ideas for future agenda?

Please put the date in your diary, as we would welcome as many as possible, Heads of Geography and/or other members of the department.

If you are able to join us, please let my secretary know:
Sherry Young at WDC
Tel: 01582 830344 or
Email: sherry.young@hertscc.gov.uk

I am looking forward to working with you.
