The Hertfordshire County Show is a fun, family day out, giving people of all ages the opportunity to learn about farming and the countryside.
Free tickets
Show organisers, Hertfordshire Agricultural Society, want to encourage children to come along to enjoy the fun and educational activities, so are offering 35 complimentary child tickets to Hertfordshire primary schools on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. (Children under 5 are free).
To apply for free tickets, the headteacher should contact: info@hertsshow.com by 8th April 2011. Please detail your full school address and telephone number on the email.
Competition
Primary, nursery and special schools are also invited to take part in a competition to write a poem about farm animals. Finalists will be displayed at the show and judged at the event on the Saturday morning.
The deadline for competition entries is Friday 13th May 2011. A flyer with further details is also available below:
Every school that enters the competition will receive a free family ticket to the show (2 adults + 2 children).
