Consultancy

The Early Years Team have put together several training courses designed specifically for staff in the Foundation Stage.

Our team can deliver each module as:

• part of a training day
• a staff meeting
• a whole day’s training session

Different topics and modules offered may be put together as required.

The Early Years Team is based at Hertfordshire Development Centre.

The team offers support and advice to all working in the Foundation Stage.

Each term flyers, letters and updates are sent to all settings to let you know what’s planned.

Networks

Networks are an opportunity for Foundation Stage practitioners to meet together and network! Meetings take place at venues across the four quadrants of the county.

Networks are an essential part of raising quality and encourage the sharing of good practice. They also relieve isolation, offer an opportunity for information sharing and encourage continuity between settings. They help us monitor practitioners, although they are out of their setting.

Non-maintained settings have to show involvement with a network – when applying for funding and to enable them to meet OfSTED requirements.
