Working with Parents in the Foundation Stage

Working with parents...The DfES has produced a pack for all settings to use to promote working with parents in the foundation stage. Copies are being distributed in 2004 through a series of Foundation Stage Networks. The pack includes a video and posters, which highlight the importance of learning through play in the foundation stage. (opp.to download Naomi’s flyer).

Parenting Skills

CSF / Young in Herts has a Parenting Strategy which is led by:

The Parenting Strategy is monitored by a Parenting and Family Support Subgroup. This multi agency group is responsible for identifying needs and priorities for parenting support across the county and is also responsible for monitoring the quality of parenting courses and facilitator training. There are 8 parenting co-ordinators, each covering either a district or Quadrant area of the county.
