RM Window Box Online
Information
Window Box On-line (WBOL) is designed to provide users of Window
Box software with ready to use, cross-curricular ICT activities,
together with the relevant lesson plans. These can be saved to use
off-line, and can then be distributed to class members as appropriate.
WBOL also provides useful articles on ICT, Window Box manuals you
can download, and other resources. What is a Window Box? An RM Window Box is a PC supplied by RM with a full set of pre-installed
educational software for Primary schools. If your PC is not a Window
Box, you can use WBOL by installing the appropriate Window Box applications.
Activities
A WBOL Activity is a lesson resource for use with a Window
Box application. It includes a lesson plan and one or more sample
files,
all combined in a single file for downloading. All Activities are
tried and tested resources created by teachers. They can be almost
anything, from clipart to a complete database, or simply an interesting
way to use your Window Box programs in class.
A range of WBOL Activities can be downloaded
from WBOL - it is also possible to search for all activities related
to:
Work Box
RM Work Box is a free program that allows you to browse WBOL and
download WBOL Activities, organise them, distribute them to your
pupils’ desktops, and more. You must have Work Box to download
the Activities. You can download
it from WBOL.
If you download an Activity for a Window Box application that isn’t
installed on your computer, a warning message will appear. You will
still be able to download the Activity and read the lesson plan,
but you probably won’t be able to use the sample files.
