Hertfordshire Ordnance Survey Maps
This exciting new Intranet application has been written
for us by The Advisory Unit: Computers in Education.
Using the application you will be able to find Ordinance
Survey Landranger and Land-Line maps for anywhere in Hertfordshire.

Installation of Aegis
The first time you use Hertfordshire
Maps on a particular computer it will need to copy a small program
onto that computer. This will need to be done on each workstation
that the service is to be used on. This program will require this

The Hertfordshire OS Maps service requires you to have the Aegis
ActiveX plugin (see above) to view the
Land Line maps and the Adobe
Acrobat Reader in order to view the manuals. Test
your plugins here. Note that no plugins are required in order
to view the Landranger maps.

Access within school
All Hertfordshire schools connected through the Hertfordshire Grid
for Learning have access to the Hertfordshire OS Maps service, although
to use the land-line maps you will need to follow the instructions

when you are in a Hertfordshire school.
