Hertfordshire Schools Library Service Buying Group
 JISC Collections for Schools

Funded by Becta, JISC Collections for Schools is a not-for-profit initiative that enables schools across the UK to benefit from large discounts on high quality online subscription resources. Hertfordshire Schools Library Service has set up a buying group to enable participating schools to gain even greater savings.

New subscribers can join the Hertfordshire buying group at the current price level and can trial and subscribe to resources at any time during the year on a pro-rata basis.

Which online resources are available?

Over 20 resources are now available through JISC Collections for Schools, providing high quality support for all stages of education from Key Stage 1 upwards. They include:

  • copyright cleared image and video libraries
  • curriculum-mapped games and simulations
  • newspaper archives
  • general reference information invaluable for all subject areas
  • resources for a wide range of subject areas including Art, Citizenship, English, Geography, History, Literacy, Maths, Music, Modern Languages, RE, PE, and Science
