Pro-Desktop V8
An updated version of Pro/DESKTOP has been released
named V8. This is open to people who have completed a course of training
in Pro/DESKTOP, completed their registration with DATA and have a certificate
saying they are an accredited Pro/DESKTOP teacher. For existing accredited
teachers to obtain a copy of the program they must undergo a minimum of
6 hours training, and re-register with DATA. After teachers have re-registered
with DATA they will be sent two C.D’s. One is the new programme
and the other contains curriculum material with over 100 pages of suggestions
for the teaching of CAD/CAM.
The new version further develops the’ Feature’ approach to
CAD but with greater ease of use and improved design performance. The
revised emphasis is developed to encourage pupils to take a more active
part in Designing when they use Pro/DESKTOP.
