Dance and Animation Primary Workshops New

DanceDigital in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council Standards and Schools Effectiveness, are offering innovative day long Dance and Animation workshops.

Project Details

• A whole day of creative dance and animation workshops (3 x 1 – 1.5 hour sessions)
• A sharing at the end of the day bringing all the groups together
• Available on dates in late February and early March 2012
• Workshops take place at your school
• Suitable for pupils at Key Stage 1 & 2
• Theme of the workshops – the Hindu festival Holi
• The cost is £200 per day.
• The workshops will be led by Laura Horn, Dance Development Artist for DanceDigital and Shaun Clark, Animator for Quirky Pictures and Mew Lab.

Big Dance in Hertfordshire New

Big Dance will be the ultimate dance experience in 2012. This biennial festival will feature 9 days of dance in unusual spaces throughout the UK – shopping centres, parks, galleries, and lidos - showcasing the diversity of dance styles in the capital and across the country.  Big Dance will take place across the UK from 7-15 July 2012 and includes a 7-week countdown period starting on 18 May 2012 as part of London 2012 Festival - the finale of the Cultural Olympiad.

DanceDigital in collaboration with Watford Palace Theatre, Watford Borough Council, St Albans City and District Council and the Borough of Broxbourne are bringing Big Dance to Hertfordshire, with a series of events from Monday 9 to Saturday 14 July 2012. 

Events in Hertfordshire will include:

• Schools’ Jam, a one night only performance on Monday 9 July 2012 at Watford Palace Theatre, showcasing dance work from schools across three districts (Watford, St Albans and Broxbourne). Entry by application only.
• Town Centre participation events and performances in Watford, St Albans and Waltham Cross on Saturday 14 July 2012

Adult Contemporary Dance Class New

A weekly dance class led by Laura Horn, Dance Development Artist for DanceDigital.

• Mondays during term time,  6:00—7:30pm
• Venue - Stanborough School, Lemsford Lane, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6YR
• Suitable for Adults (18+ year olds) at all levels
• £55 per card (valid for 10 classes for up to 6 months from the date of issue)
