Has your school thought about going greener? Need some ideas and training to get started? Why not join our Active Citizenship Residential that trains a group of young people in KS3 & KS4 on how to run their own green campaign?
The Make the Link – Climate exChange programme run by the Citizenship Foundation and Plan UK gives the possibility of 16 selected schools to come for weekend training on how to run a successful environmental campaign in the school. This is a great opportunity for a group of Gifted and Talented students, an Eco-group and the Student council.

Lawyers in Schools is an employee volunteering scheme developed by the Citizenship Foundation, in partnership with Linklaters. New downloadable 'Positive Images Toolkit' resource for KS3/4
The Red Cross has also launched a new edition of the Positive Images Toolkit, a free online educational resource about migration and development. The Toolkit is aimed at young people aged 12 and over. It is based around five themes: why people migrate, who migrants are, migration patterns and migrant journeys, positive images and youth action.

Climate exChange
Climate exChange is a three year project in partnership with Plan UK. Funded by the European Union, it promotes learning, dialogue and action on climate change through linking secondary schools and youth groups in the EU (UK, Netherlands and Bulgaria) with those in Africa (Malawi, Senegal and Kenya).
The emphasis of the project is on the practical steps young people can take as a result of this enhanced knowledge, to tackle climate change as active citizens.

Anglian Wolf Society
The Anglian Wolf Society is a non-profit study group based in North Bedfordshire. They provide educational visits for 7 - 13's which include:
- an informative age related talk,
- participation in a wildlife activity trail,
- opportunity to watch feeding time,
- learning about wolves and wolf behaviour.

Herts Young Homeless Group (HYHG)
Herts Young Homeless Group (HYHG) is a charity that offers advice and support to young people (aged 16 – 25) who are homeless or in threat of becoming homeless.
HYHG has been funded to provide education sessions about homelessness to schools and youth groups to help prevent young people becoming homeless in the future, the sessions are primarily being aimed at 14/15 year olds. Part of the sessions will involve one or more of our service users ‘telling their story’ to show young people the realities of being homeless.
