Corina is committed in her belief that good behaviour in our schools is genuinely achievable and that students and adults can enjoy ordered, positive and calm learning experiences. In a variety of roles in mainstream and special schools, she has worked very successfully with some of our most vulnerable young people. She has learnt to support them and to influence and challenge them to make significant changes so that they can avoid failure and become proud of their achievements. Her passion is in discovering ways to give students, especially those who are particularly vulnerable, the life chances and life choices they deserve and to ensure that they learn to behave as active and inquiring learners. Having worked with challenging students throughout her long career, she has enjoyed success as a class teacher, middle leader and Deputy Headteacher for two schools in challenging circumstances, one of which was in Special Measures. Corina works with Senior Leaders and others to develop positive climates for learning, to develop systems of rewards and sanctions which are effective in ensuring good behaviour and to support specialised interventions and learning support for those with the most extreme difficulties. Corina’s main role in school includes:
