Year 4 and 5 Tasks for Moderation – Writing and Science Sc1 - Spring 2008This is a new combination in our annual cluster meetings in order to offer opportunities for teachers in every year group to be involved with some moderation. The main aim is to help achieve greater consistency in the understanding of the levels. We have chosen to moderate the assessment of Non-fiction writing and Science Sc1 (Scientific enquiry). The tasks for teachers are reproduced on this site for you to download and photocopy as required. In order to gain maximum benefit from the sessions it would be ideal if a common task could be completed. However, we are aware that other tasks may already be planned, in which case please bring along examples of work related to the Primary Framework strand 9 - Creating and shaping texts: You may do the tasks with your whole class if you wish, although you will only need to bring the assessed work of 3 pupils (of differing ability) to the moderation meeting. If you have any questions regarding the tasks or the meetings, please contact us by telephone or email. We look forward to seeing you later this term. Writing TaskYear 4 and 5 Writing Task
