Learning to Learn Certificate

8 classes in this school, along with their teachers, were awarded the Learning to Learn Certificate by Hertfordshire Assessment Team, in July 2007.

Art work is modelled by the teacher in the nursery before the children try their own.

Role play areas from floor to ceiling that include children’s writing responses	Time for personal reflection in the nursery within a safe, secure, enclosed and private area	Children modelled different positions before representing them with modroc

Children have the opportunity to share their opinions of their learning tasks.	Starting from where the children are. Finding out what the children would like to know – helping to generate motivation for learning.

Speed stacks. This needs complete focus and concentration. It also encourages children to master a skill performing better against their previous score as opposed to comparing their progress with someone elseStarting from where the children are. Children are encouraged to comment on their own photos – sharing their thoughts on friendship.
