Attainment on Entry

In the past the Local Authority collected data on assessments made using the Nursery Learning Record and produced an analysis tool, allowing schools to benchmark their children’s attainment on entry in the context of other Hertfordshire schools.  However the NLR is no longer used, having been superseded by the EYFS ‘Development Matters’ document, which uses the ‘Ages and Stages’ criteria.  Therefore the Assessment team and Early Years team have worked together with SITSS and the Education and Data Collection Services team (EDCS, formerly known as PIU) to devise the content of a new set of data analysis based on the Development Matters framework.
