Working Differently for Children - 16th November 2007

Joint HASSH / Standards and School Effectiveness

To open our conference programme for 2007/08 we held a half day conference at Beales Hotel, Hatfield. Following the HASSH meeting we began with a keynote from John Harris, Errol Albert, Integrated Process Manager and Jan Spavin, formerly headteacher of Westfield School on the latest developments in multi-agency working in the county. This was followed by seminars which developed the theme of ‘working differently’ in two different but complimentary ways;

  • ICT Managed Services are the way of the future?
    How might an ICT Managed Service free you and your teachers to focus on teaching and learning and school improvement?
    Carole Bennett (E-strategy Manager, Herts ICT Team)
  • Distributed Leadership
    Learn how a Hertfordshire project based on the Pedagogy and Practice pack from the secondary strategy offered a successful opportunity to develop teachers into leaders in their own classroom and beyond.
    Sheila Ball (Secondary Strategy Consultant) and teachers who took part in the project.
