Further Designated Senior Person Training

Upon completion of Designated Senior Person one to one training for newly appointed DSPs, it is strongly recommended that DSPs go on to attend the two day inter-agency Child Protection Process from Recognition to Referral to Core Group, provided by the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Board.

Thereafter, at two yearly intervals, DSPs must refresh their safeguarding training. The DSP Refresher course above provides a limited opportunity to do this. DSPs are recommendeded to attend HSCB inter agency training.
