Primary School Effectiveness and Primary National Strategy
The Primary School Effectiveness and Strategy teams work together to
provide closely aligned
services in order to improve school effectiveness in all primary schools,
whilst focusing on the
needs of the child.
The Primary School Effectiveness team provides two main strands of
support and challenge for schools:
School Improvement Partners
School Improvement Partners (SIPs) work to support and challenge schools in both the primary
and secondary sectors in Hertfordshire.
Each SIP has national accreditation and is required to participate in regular training.
Primary National Strategy
The strategy team provides support and advice on the Primary National Strategy, extending the
support provided by the literacy and numeracy strategies. As well as providing guidance for
subject leaders and teachers, support is also provided for senior leaders so that the renewal of
the national literacy and numeracy frameworks can be harnessed for whole school improvement.
