Early Years
The Early Years Team provides support and advice to all working in the
Foundation Stage
across Hertfordshire, with the aim of improving standards and quality
in early years' settings including childcare.
Traded services
- A range of courses and conferences held throughout the year,
as advertised in the termly
SSE CPD programme and on the Hertfordshire Grid for Learning website
- Consultancy support to meet school needs
- Delivery of in service training at schools and children's centres
- Organisation
and administration of cluster based training
- Seminars
for foundation stage co-ordinators
- Training on the Foundation Stage Profile and moderation
- Training on the Nursery Learning
Record and moderation
Centrally funded services
- Annual visit programme for SIPs including target-setting, leading teacher management and joint annual review
- Support for schools experiencing difficulties
(as referred by an SEA or SIP)
- Assessment moderation for Foundation Stage
