FPSadvance.net Financial Planning Software
FPSadvance.net offers many new features, including integration of the School Action Plan into the longer-term financial plan and a large variety of reports to support schools with their strategic financial planning and compliance with the FMSiS.
The 2010/11 version of the software will be available from the grid, enabling speedier release to schools in March each year.
Please note that the Excel version of RM Financial Planning software will not be supported this financial year and FSS is now asking schools who have not already purchased the software to place orders in time for the new Financial Year.
Schools wishing to purchase the software can do so at a cost of £495 for an initial licence (payable in year one only), plus approximately £295 annual support. If you wish to purchase FPSadvance.net, please follow the link below to order by e-mail or phone.

Things to look out for:
When you open a Version 3 scenario in Version 4 please check:
The Fringe allowance for non-teaching staff is
Inner Fringe 798
Outer Fringe 555
To check this go to File>System Settings>School Information
For non-teaching staff the NI must be 20.6%
You must check each contract is showing this amount

Nursery, Specials and ESCs
Click on 'Enter SSG Pupil Numbers' and enter your Pupil Numbers
You must enter the FTE and not the Part Time Equivalent pupil numbers as shown on the SBS
(e.g. SBS pupil numbers are 120 therefore the FTE would be 60)

Update Fix for FPS Version 4.zip
UPDATE FIX FOR FPS ADVANCE
This zipped file will fix the problem of not being able to update FPSAdvance.net V4.
You will need FULL access rights to do the following:-
Make sure FPS is closed, save the file to your computer, then unzip the file from that location by double clicking on the zipped file then double click on the file named 'fps registry fix', click on Yes then OK.
This must be performed on all computers where FPS has been installed.
Next time you log in to FPS it should update the software with the latest release.
Schools with CC3/CC4 networks should contact their support provider to install the fix.

RM Finance
A straightforward, easy to use Windows Cash Accounting system designed
for administering a school's finances. Based on Budget Accounts for internal
monitoring, Analysis Codes for LEA reporting and Consistent Financial Reporting and a full reconciliation facility for bank and petty cash accounts.
The package also allows the user to include orders and print cheques if
required.
RM Finance Planner Software
Designed to allow schools to forecast their own income based on actual and estimated pupil numbers, the Budget Planner can then be matched against anticipated expenditure.
The planner will also provide management information based on forecast information.

RM Finance Planner - Automation Error Fix
If you get an Automation Error on opening RM Financial Planning, copy the file below (SETUPEX) below to your PC.
Then double click on the file SETUPEX which will take you into a Setup Wizard which will load the necessary files onto your PC. When the Wizard has finished, you should then be able to open RM Financial Planning.
