About the School Funding Unit
We seek to distribute funding, operate financial arrangements
and provide financial support services to schools and other providers
in ways that are consistent with and contribute to the achievement
of the Children Schools and Families Service Plan.
Our main objectives are to:
- Develop and implement the arrangements for funding schools including
the Scheme for Financing Schools and delegated funding formulae.
- Provide financial services to schools including financial software
and support for setting budgets and monitoring expenditure.
- Our main clients are Hertfordshire schools including, in particular,
headteachers, governors and bursars/finance officers.
- We also support private and voluntary providers of nursery education,
County Councillors and partnership groups.
