Hertfordshire Gardens Trust
Hertfordshire Gardens Trust is an organisation that makes a difference
in both the historic environment and in environmental education.
We work in partnership with English Heritage, The Garden History
Society, The Royal Horticultural Society and Hertfordshire County
Council – both the Environment Department and Children, Schools
and Families.
For
the past eight years we have invested almost £50,000 in Hertfordshire
schools through grant aid, three competitions, videos giving advice
and guidance on best practice and a regular annual series of free
In-Service Training Days for teachers and governors, held in historic
landscapes and recognised by the Learning and Skills Council as
Continuing Development Placements. The first of this academic year’s
INSET days for Primary Schools was held on Friday 7th November
2003 at Benington Lordship, Nr. Stevenage.
