Mentoring and Support for NEW members of your Administration team – Primary schools only

Moving into the new role of a school administrator can be very daunting especially when it comes to Management Information Systems, statutory returns and daily tasks required to be completed.

ICT Services offers support to school administrators, new to the job and will provide guidance, support and advice as to what training will be required and where to find information and documentation relating to the work they will be doing.

Details of the service:

  • The school contacts the ICT Services desk and make a request for the new member of staff to be contacted
  • A visit to the school is arranged to talk through types of tasks and the skills needed to run a busy MIS system
  • Mentoring via regular follow up calls to support and discuss any queries or issues
  • Arrange, in conjunction with the Head Teacher, the right type of training available to support development of skills required to carry out the job.
  • Guidance on where to find relevant information to support the member of staff in their duties
  • Details of User Groups to attend which facilitate networking with other colleagues in other institutions and to find out the latest news relating to SIMS.

This service will be delivered by ICT Services MIS consultants who have all worked in a busy Primary school office and have the experience to guide new administrators as to best practise.
