Creating a Well-Being TeamIt is vital that the Headteacher buys into the concept as the Sponsor, but the Well-Being team will be crucial to developing and implementing an action plan for your school. Putting together a representative team with Well-Being Facilitators representing teaching and support staff ensures a bottom up approach where staff take individual and collective responsibility for the process. This ensures ownership and engagement throughout the staff. There should also be support from a Well-Being Champion who would normally be part of the Senior Leadership Team too. The Role of a Well-Being FacilitatorSometimes we forget what our role as a Well-being Facilitator is. Listed below are some things as a Facilitator we should and we shouldn’t be doing.
Facilitator Resources and ActivitiesWhen you join the Well-Being Programme, you will gain access to many activities, planning materials and resources on the Work Life Support website through a username and password. There will also be regional network meetings organised to meet up with wellbeing teams in other schools to share good practice and for further training.
