in Further Professional Study (CFPS) in Teaching and Learning
The Certificate of Further Professional
Study (CFPS) in Teaching and Learning, in conjunction with The
University of Cambridge, Faculty of Education provides an opportunity for teachers to engage in teacher-led development work in their own schools.
New this year are two subject specific certificates:
- ICT Across the Curriculum
- Modern Foreign Languages
Applications are invited from teachers in all phases and types of schools.
This accredited programme is designed to enable members
of staff to develop as reflective practitioners and to lead developments
which support the continuing improvement of teaching and learning
in their schools. It provides participants with support to undertake
enquiry based development activities and a forum to debate key
aspects of areas of pedagogical practice such as 'Assessment
for Learning' and 'Personalised Learning'.
The Certificate will:
- Provide an opportunity to develop school-based enquiry skills
- Involve reading contemporary research publications
- Provide experience of academic and accreditation requirements
- Provide evidence of professional development for teachers
wishing to apply for the Diploma or MEd course.
Course details: -
Venue: Hertfordshire Development Centre. There will also be
one full study day at the University of Cambridge.
Time: 4.00 – 6.00pm Cost: £410 (including membership of HertsCam Network)
The course co-ordinator will be Amanda Roberts, and graduates
of the Cambridge/Hertfordshire MEd in Teaching and Learning
will form part of the course delivery team.
Course participants presenting their projects
as part of a Teaching and Learning Conference at Hertfordshire
Development Centre.
