Undertake leadership roles in teaching & learning: e.g.

- leading school-based/local/national initiatives

- attend/make presentations at Governors meetings

- co-ordinate a coaching programme

Shadow the headteacher or deputy head

Coach a middle manager

Assume acting headteacher role in Head’s absence

Assume responsibility for a range of roles e.g. data, budget, performance management

Take an active role in annual external review of school’s self evaluation
