ThumbHTML

What is ThumbHTML?

ThumbHTML is a really useful piece of software for Windows which can accomplish in a few minutes what would normally take a whole afternoon to do.

What can I do with ThumbHTML?

If you have lots and lots of JPEG images (for example, digital photographs from a digital camera) and want to display them to the world, the best way to do this is by using thumbnails. Thumbnails are small images which give a rough idea (a "thumbnail sketch") of what the full-size image is like. Generally, clicking on the thumbnail will display the full size image. This has the advantage of not forcing your users to download lots of information which they don't want to see, but instead allows them to see a preview of your images before they download the full-size images. Note that Thumb HTML currently only works with JPEG, BMP and PNG images.

If you would like to process your images before creating thumbnails using this program then download Irfanview and use it to do your processing.

How do I get ThumbHTML?

Once you have downloaded the ThumbHTML setup program from the page above, you need to run the installation program which will install ThumbHTML. Find the ThumbHTML setup program on your computer and double click on it. The program creates HTML files, which you can edit in Dreamweaver or any other HTML editor.
