Standards and School Effectiveness - our core purpose
The core purpose of Standards and School
Effectiveness (SSE) is to:
 Promote achievement for every child and
young person- Ensure a good early education for
every child
- Provide a good school for every child
- Narrow the gap in attainment and wellbeing
The transformation of the service has placed
achievement at the heart of the services that
we provide, maintaining expertise in secondary
and primary phases, ensuring a focus on
underachieving groups and signalling the
importance of new strategic partnerships for
the future.
Hertfordshire has a well established team of
consultant Headteachers, many of whom are
National or Local leaders of Education.
We also have many other good and
outstanding Headteachers whose skills
and expertise contribute enormously to the
success of Hertfordshire schools overall.
We have successful experience in facilitating partnerships between schools and providing
peer to peer and school to school support.
This approach will provide a firm foundation for supporting schools for the future and we will be looking to develop these networks of expertise further.
