Working with you to promote achievement and wellbeing for all children and young people

Standards and School Effectiveness (SSE) is proud of the reputation that we have nationally as a high performing school improvement service but we are very aware that greater school autonomy means you can choose from an increasingly wide range of options for your school improvement support in the future.

We welcome that challenge and unlike many other local authorities we will continue to offer a broad range of high quality and good value traded services to Hertfordshire schools and beyond.

We have listened carefully in our consultations with schools to ensure that we have retained the services schools want and will continue to listen and respond as we go forward.

The next exciting stage for school improvement for Hertfordshire will be to co-produce with you an evolving service which will meet your needs in a rapidly changing context.

We are currently talking with representative heads and governors about the creation of a new Hertfordshire Learning Partnership which will facilitate school to school support, build on the current networks of in school expertise and ensure that schools are supported to achieve the best for children and young people.
