The Hertfordshire County Art Collection

A FREE loan service to schools

The County Art Collection is based with the Schools Library Service at New Barnfield.

There are approximately 1500 items in the collection comprising not only paintings but also original prints, textiles, sculptures, ceramics and glass. The collection offers children the opportunity, often for the first time, to have experience of original works of art made by professional artists and craftsmen. Many of the artists purchased from in the past are today regarded as being among the century's most important.
