SEAL (Social & Emotional Aspects of Learning)

This aims to provide schools and settings with an explicit, structured whole-curriculum framework for developing all children’s social, emotional and behavioural skills. It also makes a significant contribution to provision for Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE) in primary schools and to the development of Healthy Schools work.

It is intended for the whole school community. Its use is likely to be coordinated by the headteacher together with the PSHCE or Healthy School coordinator, or the lead behaviour professional.

The SEAL resource is designed to build on, not replace, existing effective work in our schools which promotes good emotional health and behaviour for learning.
