On Track - A fun filled French Activity Kit

An exciting new cross-phase language resource

Inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, On Track is a time-saving, one-stop collection of 30 inspirational ideas and activities that can be used with all key stages.

Linked by a common sporting theme, the games and activities will engage and motivate language learners by providing physical and mental challenge as they practise French and explore aspects of different cultures.

As well as enhancing language skills, the activities are intended to promote the sporting values of teamwork, perseverance, self-confidence and inter-personal skills, in addition to global citizenship and community cohesion.

Each activity in this neatly presented resource follows a common presentation format: title, language focus, resources, a description of the activity, language kit and ideas for differentiation.

The activities can be adapted to focus on different areas of language at varying levels of complexity and could be conducted in languages other than French.

KS2 Course

Courses are aimed at teachers and TAs delivering primary languages at KS2. Delegates receive the above resource pack.

KS3 & KS4 Course

Aimed at teachers/teaching assistants delivering languages to middle and secondary students, this course presents the new “On Track” resource specifically designed to show you how to make the most of the once in a lifetime experience of the London Games 2012.
